We’re always finding ways to make Van Meter Inc. operate better – resulting in better service for our customers
We take pride in our culture of continuous improvement. What does it mean exactly? Our employees are always finding ways to make our company operate better – resulting in better service and a competitive advantage for our customers.
We take a two-pronged approach to continuous improvement:
- Large improvement projects (Kaizens) cross many areas of our business and are led by our Continuous Improvement Team.
For example, one goal was to improve our returns process. We implemented a centralized returns process with a team solely focused on handling all returns in order to get credit and/or the needed product to our customers faster. - Small improvements happening every day from everyone.
Every day, employee-owners are empowered to make small changes that improve their work processes, enabling them to better serve our customers. We accomplish this through our Quick Kaizen (QK) Program, where every employee implements a change in their work life that saves time, money or enhances safety and documents the change for the purpose of knowledge sharing. Employee-owners average more than two QK’s each per year, resulting in more innovative improvements every day.
We look forward to ongoing improvements so that we can continue to find more ways to be your competitive advantage.
