Not only is Van Meter Inc. known for integrity and quality when it comes to our products and service, we also give back to the communities around us. Our company regularly donates to local charities and employee-owners spend countless hours volunteering.
We see giving back as a generosity of time, money and spirit. We are blessed by our communities and our place in them. In fact, it’s a big part of who we are as a company.
Giving back is part of our company legacy
In 1960, B.L. Robinson, a competing company at the time, was severely damaged by fire. Our company’s co-founder, R.W. Lemley, contacted the owner and offered the financial help necessary for them to get back on their feet.

Employee-owners donate more than 7,000 volunteer hours to Iowa communities every year.
In 2008, a profitable year allowed Van Meter to donate over half a million dollars to our communities.
