SUPPLYFORCE Announces 2010 Commitment to Excellence Awards
supplyFORCE, delivering National MRO solutions with the largest network of MRO suppliers in North America, held its Commitment to Excellence Awards ceremony for the Electrical Supply Division, Industrial Supply Division and Pipe, Valves & Fittings Division on February 2, 2011.
Held in conjunction with supplyFORCE’s 2011 National Meeting, the Commitment to Excellence Awards recognizes Owner-Members who have contributed significantly to the success of supplyFORCE agreements. Three specific categories were presented: Excellence in Sales Leadership (by division), Owner-Member of the Year (by division) and Best Conversion Award (by division).
At the opening of the awards ceremony, David Meyers, Vice President of National Accounts stated “We believe that bringing together our best customers, strategic manufacturer partners, and our network of Owner-Members represents a tremendous opportunity to create and enhance relationships and share plans and ideas for the coming year that will help improve the performance for all our companies. The 2010 awards start with a long list of potential candidates. In the end, with lots of input and deliberation, we arrive with a short list of companies who exemplify the very best we have to offer. Over the past year, these companies ‘dug deep’, allocated resources, ignored economic trends, demonstrated their pride, and performed in 2010.”
ABOUT supplyFORCE’s National Meeting:
supplyFORCE held its 2011 National Meeting for its Owner-Members and several key customers on February 2-3, 2011 in Phoenix. The theme of this year’s meeting was “Pride and Performance – Consistently Better” and provided a variety of Contract Service Team Meetings, Government Sales Division Training Sessions, supplyFORCE Workshops and other Industry related sessions.
The highlight of the meeting was the Commitment to Excellence awards ceremony where supplyFORCE recognized superior pride and performance across their membership.

* Mike Vita, Director, PVF Division also presented a special Excellence in Leadership Award to Gary Cartright, President of Piping & Equipment, Inc. (Houston, TX). Mike stated:
“Every once in a while, we are all given the privilege of working with someone who is truly extraordinary in what they do and who they are as a person. These people don’t easily fit into a category. For all practical purposes, they break the mold. This is one of those times.
I would like to recognize a friend, an ardent and a tireless supporter of supplyFORCE from the very beginning. I have personally been the thankful beneficiary of his insightful advice and council.
He is a PVF industry leader and innovator, with a long history of unselfish service in the PVF community, and an inspiration for all those who have been privileged to be associated with him.
He has supported the PVF industry by serving as President of the PVF Roundtable and has served on the Executive Council of the ASA Industrial Piping Division and is a IPD Hall of Fame Member. He has been on the Industrial Programs Committee, the Industrial PVF Division Product Committee and a 10 year member of the A-D Board of Directors.”
