COURSE DESCRIPTION
This online seminar will examine the NFPA-70E, new changes to the standards and how they interrelate with OSHA cfr29 – 1910 for electrical maintenance. Arc Flash is one of the major focuses of the seminar.

- How to safely work on or near energized equipment
- How to test energy levels and use proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

- How and why shock happens
- Hazards of Arc Flash: Shock, arc burn, arc blast, fires
- 70E Ch. 1: Safety-related work practices
- 70E Article 120: Establishing an electrically safe work condition
- 70E Article 130: Working on or near live parts
- 70E Ch. 2: Safety related maintenance requirements
- Inspecting, testing and using PPE
- Verifying de-energization with a Voltmeter
- Identifying if equipment is ready for use
