COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course introduces the student to the basic components of an Industrial Control circuit. Including but not limited to contactors, proximity switches, pushbuttons, relays, timing relays, and limit switches. Students will learn to read and interpret basic electrical diagrams and symbols, understand measuring of electrical properties, wiring these devices, and perform basic troubleshooting. Students will be able to solve basic electrical circuits, follow power low in that circuit and understand principles of electrical controls. We will use typical control devices and symbols to develop and wire simple control circuits.
