Reducing the effort it takes to pull wire means saving more energy for the things you enjoy doing when you get home from the jobsite. Wire pulls can require nearly 100 pounds of pulling force depending on the size and number of conductors, and exerting extra effort can quickly add up throughout the course of a day or project. Want to make it easier?
Stop playing tug of war with your wire pulls and see how much easier it is to pull wire using Southwire’s SIMpull Reel.
HOW THE SIMPULL REEL REDUCES WIRE PULLING EFFORT
1. LESS RESISTANCE
As you can see in the video, it takes less force to pull wire from the SIMpull Reel. With the reel locked in place, an independently rotating inner wheel and multiple conductors on one reel, one person can safely execute the wire pull.
2. NO JACK STANDS
It’s not just pulling the wire that is easier. The SIMpull Reel reduces effort during set up as well. With the SIMpull reel design, your wire is already elevated, and the reel locks in place, so you don‘t need to worry about hauling around heavy jack stands.
3. NO LIFTING
Depending on the size and length of wire, regular wooden spools can be heavy to lift. With the SIMpull reel, no jack stands means no lifting spools onto the stand. While setting up a couple spools might not seem like a lot of work, doing it for multiple wire pulls day after day can be taxing on the body. Less lifting means fewer injuries on the job.
4. MULTIPLE CONDUCTORS ON ONE REEL
In a traditional wire pulling setup, pulling multiple conductors requires multiple spools that each require their own set of jack stands. That means lifting multiple reels onto the jack stands and more opportunity for injury. With independently rotating outer flanges and a separately rotating inner wheel, one person can safely maneuver a 5,000-pound reel by themselves.
