COURSE DESCRIPTION:
FOUR DAY COURSE
The Level I Infrared Thermography Training Course is geared to the new infrared camera user and focuses on how thermography is used for a variety of condition monitoring/predictive maintenance applications. ITC training includes comprehensive hands-on labs and workshops designed to engage the student while re-enforcing the principles of thermography covered in the material.
Course Objectives
- Gain introduction to thermal imaging and measurement systems for predictive maintenance applications.
- Use IR cameras to collect quality data and accurate temperature readings, accounting for measurement effects, such as distance and emissivity.
- Analyze and interpret thermal images accurately by using heat transfer concepts.
- Learn to use the latest infrared inspection report generation and analysis software.
- Distinguish between hot spots and reflections, direct vs. indirect readings, and qualitative vs. Quantitative thermography.
- Challenge yourself with HANDS-ON field applications labs that closely simulate real-world IR camera applications.
Attendees completing all training course requirements and a thermography field assignment will receive a Level I Infrared Thermography Certification that is good for 5 years. ITC is registered with ISO-9001 and accredited by NETA in IR thermography training.
