COURSE DESCRIPTION:

This course introduces the student to the structure and operating principles of Variable Frequency AC Drives (VFD) and motor principals that relate to VFDs. It will provide the student the knowledge to perform work relating to VFDs and the systems they are part of. Hands on exercises using the PowerFlex 70 include drive startup procedures as well as programming and functionality of key parameters is provided.
