COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course introduces the student to Variable Frequency AC Drives (VFD’s) and provides an understanding of the structure of a VFD. The course will cover the functional areas of the VFD and the components used in producing those functions. It will provide the student the knowledge to perform work relating to VFD’s and the systems they are a part of. Hands on exercises using PowerFlex 40 Variable Frequency Drives are provided.
